Morning Worship at 10:55 am

Evening Worship at 6:00 pm

Please join us this Sunday for worship at Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church! We worship in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition. Our worship is both joyful and reverent, and focuses on the Word of God. As sinners redeemed by God's grace, we come joyfully into his presence. We were once God's enemies, but are now his children. So we delight to come before him. Yet, the writer to the Hebrews reminds us that we must "offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:28-29). So our worship attempts to be both joyful and awe-filled. We sing both older and newer hymns, as well as Biblical psalms.

God's Word is the revelation of Himself and is the means by which we know God and grow in him. Thus, we read portions of God's Word at every worship service. Our sermons are expository sermons, that expound a biblical text and apply it to the lives of God's people. Typically, we preach through whole books of the Bible, or sections of biblical books. Our desire is that people will know God in his Word, will grow in their knowledge of Scripture and will show forth the love of God in their daily lives.

Nursery is provided for infants and toddlers.

Wednesday Night Church Supper/Bible Study/Prayer Meeting
6:00pm
Preaching, worship, the sacraments and prayer were characteristic of the apostolic church and the key to its success. Beginning with Pentecost, each major event and advance in the Book of Acts and the Gospel of Luke is preceded by prayer. Not unlike Pentecost, Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church was borne and nurtured through weekly congregational prayer meetings. Along with our Scottish fathers in the faith, we believe that congregational prayer is the "powerhouse" of the church. Why should God take us seriously if we will not follow the pattern of the early church so clearly set forth in Scripture? (cf. Luke 3:21-23; 6:12-16; 9:18-20, 28-31; 22:39-46; Acts 2:41-42; 4:23-35; 13:1-3; 14:23; 16:13-15, 23-34)

During most of the year (all but the June-August months) we gather for a fellowship dinner at 6:00 PM that is prepared by cooking teams from within the church. At 7:00 PM adults gather for hymn singing, Bible study, and a time of prayer requests and prayer together. The Youth Group has its own time of study and fellowship.  The younger children also meet for interactive instruction and activities.  A nursery is available for the toddlers and infants.
