Rooted in an Old Faith

We are an evangelical church for the greater Southpark area. A relatively new church yes, but a new church with an ancient faith. Today people are facing increasingly difficult challenges in modern life... challenges that force many to search for answers. In the face of these challenges and in contrast to the growing number of "new religions" that are coming forward to offer their ideas, Sovereign Grace is committed to the ancient faith. What is that faith? It's the faith of the Bible, the faith of St. Paul, the faith of Luther and Calvin and the Pilgrims who founded this nation the faith of a growing number of people who have tried the "rest" and are coming home. Our Ancient Faith is faith in Jesus Christ, who lived the life we could never live and who died and rose again to give new life to all who recognize their need for Him. That is the core of our faith.

We have a heart for evangelism and going to great lengths to tell others about New Life in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20).

A Clear Vision

We want to be a growing community of changed lives through preaching, teaching, and sharing the reality and power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures. We want to abound in the grace and knowledge of God and overflow with His compassion for others as we experience and extend the life of our Lord to the greater SouthPark area, Charlotte, our nation, and the world. We want to glorify God through beautiful and reverent services of worship, intentional acts of mercy, Biblical discipleship, and fellowship for the whole family.
