  • Rev. DR. Carlton wynne

    senior pastor

    Rev. Dr. Carlton Wynne grew up in Houston, Texas, in a gospel-believing home that fostered a love for learning and athletics. He attended Princeton University (B.A., Religion, 2002), where he met his wife, Linley. Together they are the grateful parents of three sons: Robert, Connor, and Anderson. 


    After college, Carlton worked with Reformed University Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, before attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte (M.Div., 2010) and returning to his home state to serve as a pastor. Seeking to serve the church through academics, he later completed a Ph.D. in systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary (2015) in Philadelphia, where he also taught for several years. In 2020, he moved to Atlanta to join the pastoral staff at Westminster Presbyterian Church. 


    By God’s grace, Carlton began as Senior Minister of Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church in January 2026. He is honored to serve Christ and the saints of this congregation through the ministry of Word, sacrament, and prayer. He also rejoices in being husband to Linley and father to their sons.

  • Rev. WILL KEYTON

    ASSISTANT PASTOR

    Rev. Keyton first came to Sovereign Grace as a seminary student and an intern in 2019. Previously he earned his BS in civil engineering from Auburn University and worked as an intern with Reformed University Fellowship at Tennessee Tech University. After graduating with his MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary he spent a year as a pastoral intern at the Independent Presbyterian Church of Savannah, GA. In 2023 he returned to Sovereign Grace as an assistant pastor.


    Will and his wife, Hope, have one son, Gilbert.

  • rev. Ricky JohnSon

    Assistant pastor OF YOUTH & FAMILIES

    Rev. Johnson was born and raised in Augusta, GA.  He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Communication Studies degree in December of 2016.  He then spent four and half years in campus ministry at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA.  In this time, he met and married his wife Ciara.  In May of 2021, the two moved to Charlotte where Ricky pursued an MDiv at Reformed Theological Seminary. He graduated in May of 2024 and was ordained as a pastor at Sovereign Grace in January of 2025.


    Ricky and his wife, Ciara, have one daughter, Adaline.

    OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Emma is originally from Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Grove City College with her Bachelors in Social Work in 2023. Shortly after marrying, she and Colson moved to Charlotte so Colson could attend Reformed Theological Seminary. Soon after, they found their church home at Sovereign Grace. Emma worked for two years with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the school and nonprofit setting before working full time at Sovereign Grace. 


  • LYNNE MEENA

    DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN's ministry

    Lynne, and her husband Bill, moved to the Charlotte area from Illinois when Bill retired. They have been members at Sovereign Grace since 2014 and are so thankful for the instructive and encouraging teaching and preaching that they hear week after week. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Lynne loves to teach children about the Bible, so that they can get to know our great and glorious God more fully.

  • Kristin Bostian

    Director of Nurseries

    Kristin has been a member of Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church since 2016. She has an MS in Environmental Education from Montreal College and also works at Latta Nature Preserve as an Outdoor Recreation Specialist for Mecklenburg County. She and her husband Adam have a daughter named Holly. Kristin is originally from Allentown, New Jersey. 

  • Megan grubb

    Intern

    Megan was born and raised in the mountains of NC. After attending college in TN, she worked for nearly a decade in university administration in the Raleigh area. In 2024, she moved to Charlotte to study at RTS. In her spare time, she enjoys researching early Christian manuscripts, working on puzzles, and playing with her nieces and nephews.

    Intern

    John grew up in Southern California and moved to Colorado in 2008. There he finished his BA in Business Management and worked as the Human Resource Administrator at a Chick-fil-A in the Denver area. He moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2024, where he is currently working toward an M.Div from Reformed Theological Seminary.

  • Micah MacLean

    Intern

    Micah grew up in Wake Forest, NC. He attended North Carolina State University and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science. After graduating in December of 2022, he moved to Charlotte to start work at Lowe's as a Software Engineer. In 2023 Micah started studying at Reformed Theological Seminary in the M.Div program. 

  • EVAN ZHUO

    INTERN

    Evan was born in Shenzhen, China, and grew up in the Atlanta suburbs. He graduated Wheaton College, IL with a B.A. in English Literature, and attended Westminster Seminary, PA, where he met his wife Coco. In 2024, they married and moved to the Charlotte area to complete their respective degrees in divinity and counseling at RTS Charlotte. They have one baby daughter named Aroma.
