Rev. Dr. Carlton Wynne grew up in Houston, Texas, in a gospel-believing home that fostered a love for learning and athletics. He attended Princeton University (B.A., Religion, 2002), where he met his wife, Linley. Together they are the grateful parents of three sons: Robert, Connor, and Anderson.
After college, Carlton worked with Reformed University Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, before attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte (M.Div., 2010) and returning to his home state to serve as a pastor. Seeking to serve the church through academics, he later completed a Ph.D. in systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary (2015) in Philadelphia, where he also taught for several years. In 2020, he moved to Atlanta to join the pastoral staff at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
By God’s grace, Carlton began as Senior Minister of Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church in January 2026. He is honored to serve Christ and the saints of this congregation through the ministry of Word, sacrament, and prayer. He also rejoices in being husband to Linley and father to their sons.
