Sovereign Grace Sunday School - Fall 2026

Join us for Sunday School on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:30am. Classes are offered for all ages, with nurseries available for infants to three-year-olds. Our Sunday Schools are provided to supplement the primary means of discipleship which takes place in our worship services. Though supplemental, we value these classes which serve as another opportunity for our church to disciple members in their understanding of God's Word, theology, and various practical topics which are taught throughout the year.

Kingdom of God

Meeting August 23 through November 29 in the Fellowship Hall. Taught by Rev. Ricky Johnson, Mr. Bryan Klazinga, and Mr. Jerry Youngblood.

What is the kingdom of God? It's certainly something Christians have heard of, but many struggle to explain what it is. This class will trace the Bible's teaching on God's kingdom from Genesis to Revelation, showing both its central place in God's plan of redemption and its significance for the Christian life today. Join us as we trace the unfolding theme of God's kingdom throughout Scripture and discover how it deepens our worship, strengthens our faith, and fuels our hope for the coming King and His everlasting kingdom.

Behold Your God

Meeting August 23 through November 29 in the Luther Room. Taught by Mr. Brian Brown, Mr. Cameron Day, and Mr. Eric Mangol.

This fall we’ll spend 14 weeks in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah spoke to a nation whose religion had become routine and whose heart had drifted from God. His message is both hard and full of grace — and it points, at every turn, to Christ. We’ll move through the major movements of the book: judgment, comfort, the Servant, and the coming glory. No background in Isaiah is needed.

How to Stay Human

Meeting August 23 through December in Calvin Hall. Taught by Rev. Will Keyton.

Have you ever felt addicted to your smartphone? Or worried about AI taking your job? Or have you considered that the United States is wealthier and more technologically advanced than any culture in history, yet more medicated, anxious, and lonely than any other? These are not isolated social problems, but symptoms of a deeper theological issue. Today, we live in a world of machines, and it's sucking out our humanity. This fall, the young adults will be taking an in-depth look at the theological issues surrounding technology. From the invention of electric lighting to modern developments in AI, we will see how a thousand little pressures every day push us to live like machines instead of what God created us to be - persons made in his image, meant for communion with him and with each other.
